1-2(103)Complex application of man-made raw materials for the manufacture of cement clinker

At the article, the results of the investigation on the complex stowing of rich tonnage inputs in agro-industry and heat energy for the preparation of cement clinker are given. The object of the study was raw material mixtures for production of cement clinker based on the system of chalk — rice husk — fly ash. Calculations and analysis of the composition of raw mixtures were carried out using the created computer program "Clinker", which made it possible to quickly determine the rational ratio of components according to the given characteristics of the clinker. According to the results of computer calculations, the possible content of rice husk in chalk-based binary mixtures in the range of saturation coefficient KH = 0.80–0.95 is 55.7–60.1 wt. %, and fly ash — 23.9–26.6 wt. %, however, the numbers of silica and alumina modules do not meet the recommended n = 1.9–3.0 and p = 0.90–2.0 for cement clinker. When using 3-component mixtures, the possible total content of rice husk and ash in the range of KH=1.9–3.5 is from 39 to 52 wt. %. At the same time, the quantitative ratio of husk ash varies from 2.1 to 7.3. The possibility of obtaining normal-hardening cement of medium strength from a mixture containing 45.2 wt.% of man-made raw materials at a maximum firing temperature of 1400 °С has been experimentally confirmed. According to the X-ray phase analysis on the Philips Xapos;Pert PRO — MRD diffractometer, the relationship between the cement properties and the formation of the C3S-C2S-C2AS-CA crystal phase system during clinker firing was established. At the same time, the predominant development of calcium silicate phases is associated with the increased reactivity of amorphous silica, a product of heat treatment of rice husk. It was concluded that the integrated use of rice husk and fly ash as man-made raw materials in the mass-intensive production of cement clinker is a promising direction for the utilization of large-tonnage industrial waste.Nataliia DoroganLev Chernyak

For the first time, sequence of the secondary ettringite formation process and the mechanism of influence on the structure and properties of the hardened composition were established. Theoretical generalization of the ettringite phase stabilization, which determines formation of the structure and physical and mechanical properties, as well as their relationship with composition of the initial materials and the technological process of obtaining products, has gained further development. Self-cleaning processes of cement systems, including photocatalysis processes that occur when light hits the surface of materials containing photocatalysts, are analyzed. In most of the conducted studies, titanium dioxide (TiO2) is used as a photocatalyst as a common semiconductor material with three crystal structures — anatase, rutile and brookite — as a photocatalyst. The anatase type is more widely used because it is more photocatalytically active than other TiO2 modifications. Other semiconductor materials can be used as photocatalysts, such as SiC, WO3, Fe2O3, GaP, GaAs, CdSe, CdS, but their photocatalytic activity is lower. Also, in addition to individual compounds, InP-CdS or ZnTe-CdS systems are used, which dope TiO2 with carbon, sulfur, and nitrogen atoms. The results of research aimed at finding other ways to increase the ability of cement systems to self-cleaning, for example, by increasing the density of cement stone, are considered. A study of the effectiveness of the inclusion of a nanocarbonate additive for compacting the structure of cement systems was conducted in order to obtain cement systems capable of self-cleaning. It has been confirmed that the use of nanocarbonate materials makes it possible to obtain building materials capable of self-cleaning due to the formation of electro-heterogeneous contacts, which contributes to obtaining cement systems with improved operational properties, in particular, the ability to self-clean.Kateryna PushkarovaLarysa Tereshchenko

The use of chemical additives based on polycarboxylate esters is an effective means of regulating the rheological properties of concrete mixtures, modifying the structure of cement stone in concrete and the concrete itself, and therefore improving its physical and mechanical characteristics and guaranteeing durability. Obtaining high-performance concrete is achieved by meeting many requirements arising from the physical foundations of concrete structure formation, namely: the use of high-strength cements and aggregates, the use of the lowest possible water-cement ratio. The use of modifiers ensures the efficiency of concrete laying, the formwork of monolithic structures in the shortest possible time with sufficient quality of the latter, the production of thin-walled thick-reinforced structures of increased strength, the possibility of carrying out construction work both in winter and in dry, hot conditions. The term "high-tech" concrete includes multicomponent concrete with high operational properties, strength, durability, low diffusion coefficient and abrasion, reliable protective properties in relation to steel reinforcement, high chemical resistance. The purpose of the work is to obtain concrete of a given class with high indicators of early strength, average density and resistance of hardened concrete to aggressive factors, which is ensured by the quality of the cement used and the introduction of chemical additives. Purpose of the article a whole range of specialized highly functional concretes with superplasticizers of the new generation based on polycarboxylate esters and air-entraining additives has been developed, and by adjusting the ratio of the steric factor and the anionic activity of polycarboxylate esters in a complex with highly soluble electrolytes, high-tech and cast concrete mixtures with a long-term preservation of their ease of work have been obtained, which guarantees obtaining concrete with increased early strength, high operational properties, including reliable protective properties in relation to steel reinforcement and high chemical resistance.Kostiantyn KaverinDmytro AnopkoDmytro Levkivskyi

The results of modeling the crack resistance of high-strength self-compacting concretes are presented. By modeling elastic and microplastic deformations from the deformation diagrams of prism specimens with an initiated crack, the parameters of crack opening in the concretes under study were established. According to the model, it was found that the width of the opening of shrinkage cracks in all investigated concretes (by 120 days) significantly exceeds this indicator for the beginning of the formation of the main crack. Thus, with limited shrinkage, the formation of cracks in the concretes is inevitable. In accordance with the model, the formation of shrinkage microcracks of concrete without additives begins on the 9th day, and the formation of the main crack — onthe 11th day of hardening. The beginning of the formation of shrinkage microcracks in concrete with fly ash, limestone and microsilica begins on the 6th day of hardening. The formation of shrinkage main cracks in these concretes begins on the 8th, 10th and 11th days of hardening, respectively. The beginning of the formation of shrinkage microcracks in concrete with metakaolin begins on the 8th day, and the main crack — on the 17th day of hardening. Thus, the composition of concrete with metakaolin can be considered the most crack-resistant. The article presents the results of a study of the effect of silicone hydrophobic additives on the main physical and mechanical properties of autoclaved aerated concrete with an average density of D400. The purpose of the work is to determine the effectiveness of silicone water-repellent additives on the durability of cellular concrete. Purpose of the article. According to the results of the studies, it was found that to improve the main physical, mechanical and operational characteristics of aerated concrete with an average density of D400, it is optimal to introduce an additive of silicone liquid PMS-50 in the amount of 1.5-2 % by weight of dry components into the composition of aerated concrete mixtures. In this case, the compressive strength of the material increases from 2.9 MPa to 3.8 MPa; water absorption decreases from 49.6 % to 4.2 % by weight, and frost resistance increases by 2 grades. The compositions containing PMS-50 and PMS-40 additives were characterised by a 3-5% reduction in average dry density with equivalent compressive strength values (3.7 MPa and 3.8 MPa, respectively). Samples of autoclaved aerated concrete modified with oligomethylhydrosiloxane and sodium methyl siliconate additives showed an increase in strength and frost resistance at an additive content of 3.5% and 2.5%, respectively. Experimental studies were conducted to determine the effectiveness of fire protection of compositions using experimental samples of ammonium polyphosphate and it was established that fire-resistant wood belongs to non-flammable materials. It is shown that experimental wood samples after treatment with a composition using ammonium polyphosphate and ammonium polyphosphate heat-stabilized with melamine polyphosphate belong to the materials of the first efficiency group (flammable materials) in terms of fire protection efficiency. The studied composition provides fire protection efficiency, respectively, for objects of classes I...V. According to the results of experimental studies, it was established that the use of "Silol" hydrophobic mixtures delays the penetration and accumulation of water in fire-resistant wood. An increase in the fire-resistant efficiency of fire-resistant wood during the joint action of "DSA-2" and the hydrophobizing mixture "Silol" after processing the samples was also revealed. The article provides an analysis of the regulatory requirements regarding the thermal resistance of the walls of modern buildings. Comparison ofregulatory requirements close to Ukraine in terms of climatic conditions in the Baltic States and Finland indicates a significant lag in the indicators of Ukrainianstandards.Based on the analysis of the structure of wall materials produced in Ukraine, a decrease in the volume of production of ceramic building bricks, expanded clay,which have lost their positions in the construction market due to the high-energy intensity of production and low thermo physical properties at the operationstage, and were displaced with autoclaved aerated concrete, is shown.The trends in the production of autoclaved aerated concrete in Ukraine are shown. The high level of technology for the production of domestic aerated concreteis confirmed by the quality of the products of "Aeroc" company, which occupies the key indicators for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete of lowdensity and high strength. On the territory of the post-Soviet countries the company was the first to start mass production of heat-insulating aerated concreteof the D150 brand, which has no analogues in the CIS, and aerated concrete of the D300 brand with a compressive strength class of C2.0. The structure of theproduction of aerated concrete by density of "Aeroc" company and the main directions of reducing the consumption of cement in the production of aeratedconcrete using granulated blast furnace slag and natural gypsum stone are shown. New constructive solutions have been developed for the construction of cost-effective foundations based on the technology of forming hollow bored piles from high-strength fine-grained concrete. The article deals with the features of the project of reconstruction of technological line of production of fractionated and thermally prepared perlite raw material of the Fogosh deposit of Ukraine in the form of crushed stone and different fractions of sand, which was developed by SE “Kryvbasproekt” under the terms of reference of PJSC “Beregovsky Quarry”. Production of products by the project envisages using of advanced two-stage NE “RDIBMP”technology for production of perlite sand of the Fogosh deposit, which meets modern requirements of its use in industry. The results of comparative studies of the quality indices of the expanded perlite sand obtained from the secondary perlites of the Fogosh deposit and of the primary perlites of the deposits of Armenia, Georgia, Greece, and Turkey are presented. Was tested skid resistance on the front surface of the concrete paving blocks. Skid resistance was measured with a pendulum device TRL-tester (MP-3). For tests used samples of concrete block pavers, which are made according to the technology of vibropressing. Test samples obtained from two different manufacturers. The test procedure was as follows. First, we tested skid resistance on the dry surface of paving blocks. The following measurement was carried out after a two-hour staying paving stones in water at its temperature plus (20 ± 5) °С. Using the relationship between devices, the values of skid resistance values on the surface of concrete pavers behind the MP-3 pendulum device are listed in the value of the skid resistance coefficient behind the PRKS-2 device at a speed of 60 km/h. With the obtained values carried out statistical processing. According to the results of which were built graphs of reliability change skid resistance coefficient under different conditions. The article analyzes the experience of the wide use of Portland cements with limestone additive in the EU countries. The indexes of physical-mechanical tests of certified Portland limestone cement with high early strength CEM II/A-LL 42.5 R produced by PJSC «Ivano-Frankivsk Cement» are given. It is shown that high early strength is achieved due to the active structure formation role of the fine-grained limestone fraction relative to the aluminate phases and the limestone action as a microfiller. The scientific principles of operational reliability of wall materials are considered. It is determined that raw material is a factor of the quality of wall ceramics. Such defects as vysoly and «ducki» are related to the peculiarities of its composition. The influence of physical and chemical factors on the presence of defects in wall ceramics and ways of their neutralization have been determined. As the effective way of neutralizing defects in wall ceramics, the direction of use of hydrophobic additives has been chosen. Moisture, getting on a brick, moisturizing it, increases heat consumption and helps to destroy material. After treatment with hydrofobizators permeability decreases by 90 %, increases the frost resistance of the material and the duration of the life of the product. The effect of hydrofobizators on the facing ceramic brick of producers of different regions of Ukraine was studied. In all cases, a positive result has been obtained. The main components of the Ukrainian market (production, export and import) and the market capacity as a whole were studied. The research was conducted for both the ceramic brick market and the market for hydrophobic additives in Ukraine. The dynamics of indicators in physical and cost terms is analyzed. It is shown that one of the causes of crack formation in hardening concretes is the formation of tensile stresses caused by temperature increase resulting in heat release during cement hydration together with shrinkage deformations. The role of concrete technology and the production of concrete works in fracturing is established. The need to harmonize concrete compositions and the type of cement used with seasonal temperature fluctuations is shown to achieve the required early strength of concrete with a relatively low temperature rise. The characteristic dependence of the early strength of concrete on the value of the heat of hydration of cement in the early periods of hardening is given. One of the methods of designing a high-strength concrete structure is based on the application of the dense packing method of the original components. To evaluate the influence of individual components on the properties of concrete mixtures and concretes, the compositions with a consistent change in the number of components were devel-oped. As mineral additives, pyrogenic microsilica Aerosil and microsilica of amorphous modification were used. In European countries in places of public using it is mandatory to place plumbing equipment for people with disabilities. If the equipment of bathrooms and toilets for people with disabilities in Europe is a common occurrence, then places of public use – buildings in which the local authorities, hotels, stations, airports in Ukraine are located – are just starting to be equipped. In recent years in our country there have been also positive changes in this issue, now one of the requirements for the coordination of the construction site – a complex of project activities, which provides accessibility of buildings and infrastructure for the disabled.At the present stage of the formation of a free market in Ukraine, the actual problem is the study of the properties of products for people with special needs, establishing their naturality and detecting counterfeits. Depending on age, ceramic sanitary ware will have different sizes and shapes. Depending on the type of disease, sanitary ware may be equipped with various auxiliary equipment with functions that are inherent in a particular type of disease. Residential dwellings also require special equipment. Therefore, ceramic sanitary equipment, which proved its effectiveness in the arrangement of public places in public places, is transferred to residential premises for the implementation of hygienic procedures for the disabled. The bathroom equipment must meet the important criterions, such as: availability, functionality, maintainability. People with disabilities have a very hard time moving both in the street and at home. The purpose of the construction complex is to help and facilitate their life. For this purpose there is a mass of means that such people can live a full-fledged, maximally independent life. Glass fiber-reinforced polymer bars are currently used in reinforced concrete. Different types of surface treatment were applied to the smooth rods in order to enhance bonding with concrete. Experimental results show that using bars coated with polymeric composite notably improve the bond strength. bars coated with polymeric composite lead to a stronger chemical adhesion with concrete. However, the effect of friction and interlocking forces produced by polymeric composite prevails over the chemical adhesion in the pull-out test.Yousef Riyad Al-hawari

The article substantiates the possibility of taking into account the required frost resistance of concrete according to the number of cycles of its freezing and thawing in a water-saturated state without significant reduction in strength at the stage of designing its compositions. The review of proposed calculated dependences of frost resistance of concrete on factors of its structure and composition is made, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. On the basis of a statistical analysis of the experimental data, a formula is proposed that establishes a relationship between the possible number of cycles of freezing and thawing of concrete with the strength of concrete under compression and the volume of entrained air.
