In the article the rationale for the choice of using raw materials for powder coatings and their manufacturing techniques to protect metal products was considered. The technology of using the decorative and protective coatings based on powder coatings has many advantages in contrast with coatings based on fluid systems: powder coatings are supplied to construction plants fully preformed, they do not need to be prepared, mixed, stirred and their viscosity does not need to be regulated. As a rule, in order to receive a powder coating based decorative and decorative coating you should apply only one layer of paint, while liquid coatings require applying several layers; this increases the time of coating production. The powder coating can be easily utilized and recycled, thus the economic feasibility of production increases
