Abstract

The problem of glass cullet utilization and its size on the Ukraine’s territory was investigated. The analysis of literary sources, revealed the possibility of using glass waste for the manufacture of concrete. It is shown that the lim-ited use of glass as a coarse aggregate is due to the expansion of concrete as a result of the reaction of alkalis with sili-ca. Considered possible solutions to the problem. The conclusion is made about the potential of this type of waste in the production of decorative concretes
